Lisa Luttrell

Lisa Luttrell grew up in Pennsylvania. Her mother is a voice teacher, and her father William Luttrell III is an author. Her parents were the perfect pairing of creative and practical. At a young age she was told to chase her dreams. Lisa attended an all-girls school, which taught her the importance of strong female leads in literature. She graduated from the University of Delaware, and after college, she worked in the design field.

She spent her summers in Ocean City, N.J. While biking past the Music Pier she was struck by inspiration, and the character of Calliope Peck – and her unique gift – was born. Lisa decided she had to become a writer to share her stories with the world. This prompted her to write The Music Pier Murder, A Calliope Peck Mystery. This novel is the first in a historical-fiction murder-mystery series entitled The Calliope Peck Mysteries.
