Joe Yogerst talks lakes on Here & Now

Joe Yogerst and host Robin Young talked lake vacations this week on Here & Now, NPR’s national current affairs program.

The 10-minute segment—broadcast on July 10th—covered a wide range of American water bodies from Lake Mead and Crater Lake out west to gator-filled Lake Martin in Louisiana, the vastness of Lake Superior, and both the history and amazing ice cream ones finds along the shores of Lake Champlain.

The show also discussed Yogerst’s latest National Geographic book—50 States, 5000 Ideas—which has been an Amazon Books bestseller for nearly sixth months, since its original release in February.

Anyone who didn’t catch Joe and Robin live can listen on the Here & Now website at www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2017/07/10/summer-lakes.
